Heyo! Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my work. I am the secretary for Lodebar, the fingers behind the screen. But even more I am a creator too!
My life has been heavy with continual health issues from minor to severely debilitating; aside from my faith in Jesus, I have always been able to turn to my creativity to help me find meaning and peaceful passage through this life. My ultimate passion is with paint and a brush. Once upon a time I had painted the set/scenery backstage for theatre performances. I dreamed of pursuing a career in scenic art but ultimately had to pivot many times and find an art form that was more suitable to my unpredictable health. In doing this I have found a love for crochet and the infinite possibilities when holding a crochet hook and string. Besides the never-ending creative outlet, crochet helps me channel my anxious energy and fill long days of medical monotony. I still try to pump out a painting when I can, but the mental and physical tax it requires often far exceeds what my little hands can make. Whereas, I can crochet on the couch, on the bus, getting an infusion, laying flat on my back, at the beach, friends' houses and many other locations I find myself in. I do not wish for fame or for a super lucrative business, I just wish to have a steady flow of orders that continually keep my hands and brain moving.
I just wish to capture God's beauty and share it with others.
